Sweet treat cups.

Hello campers! Just a bit of English humour:-) I have seen lots of versions of these wonderful sweet treat holders and here is a couple I have cased from two very talented Stampin'Up!® demos, the top one I saw at my friend Nagaire's house at a meeting I was lucky enough to be invited to. Ngaire had seen it on Marelle Taylor's blog, so I hope that covers the credits I needed to give out for that one, although I have seen several more versions floating around the blogs of the world. This one above which houses yummy jelly beans, I saw on my dear friend Lou Ryan's blog, but like the first one, I have seen many versions of this one around too.

The top one uses the great new set designed especially to go with our sweet treat cups, called Something sweet. I love the old fashioned gum ball machine and it stamps up so well, I have used one of the small grommets, also in our Summer mini to embellish the point where you would turn a knob to release a gum ball. The ribbon used is my favourite red spotted grosgrain, it has spots on one side and is plain on the other. How very versatile! The little chocolate candies are released by pulling on the arrow and opening the card, this mechanism works in such a way, so as not to destroy the card and when all the candy is gone you can see straight through the sweet treat cup to the inside where I have stamped some coloured jelly beans on a circle of white card.

The next project also houses something sweet to eat, in the form of colourful jelly beans, I have used two of the die cut blooms, which you can find in our current Idea book and catalogue. They are so easy to use and you get an instant result from very little effort which you could use as a table dressing for birthdays or baby showers etc. I had great fun making these little treats and I hope you enjoy them. Polly's growing up...

Hello there, I hope you are all looking forward to a great weekend. I thought you might like to see how our little Polly is getting on, well she has grown quite a bit since she arrived, but we don't think she will ever be a large cat. Her eyesight has improved a little in one eye and we think she is able to see outlines and light and dark from that one eye, she copes amazingly well with the little vision that she has and manages to get around the house and find ways of getting into mischief just like any other youngster. She is still extremely affectionate and is now becoming braver with strangers that come to visit, she even comes to play with some of my crafting ladies who come for classes, one lady who comes every Friday brought a ball of wool for her to play with today, so she is Polly's new best friend. Everyone has fallen in love with her and we feel so blessed to have her trust and love. Give your pet a cuddle for me, lots of inky and furry hugs from ....

Circle scissors plus....

Hello there, I thought I would share this card with you today, it has been made with the new circle scissors plus tool, which is available now in our Summer mini. I was cruising some blogs the other night just after my Circle scissors plus arrived and I found a card which had been made with it on a wonderful blog owned by the very talented Claire Daly. I needed to make a birthday card for a dear friend and also wanted to christen my new circle cutting tool, so this one definitely fit the bill. I changed mine a little from the original, I also used the very pretty Kaleidoscope designer papers from our Summer mini, Happy moments stamp set and Whimsical words stamp set which are two of the four FREE stamp sets available from this years Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I enjoyed using some bright colours and I was so surprised how easy this new tool was to use. You can definitely expect to see plenty more circles coming your way :-)

Playing with pastels.

Happy Sunday visitors, I hope you have enjoyed a peaceful Sunday and managed to get some relaxation in. We just spent most of the day visiting water garden shops and places that sell statues for gardens. We found lots of things that we would like to buy, but first we need to make sure things will fit and also do some more landscaping, but at least we have a plan.
This card was made some time ago when I was playing with my Stampin' Pastels, they are really fun to colour with and I must admit to neglecting them somewhat. So I am going to try and use things that haven't been used for a while in the next few weeks. Take care, lots of inky hugs from ...

Summertime and the livin' is easy....

If only that were true! Summer means one thing to me and that's 'HOT' I wasn't built for the heat and very often find myself getting very grumpy with the heat. I must admit it's certainly been cooling down beautifully in the evenings now and I'm finding a lot easier to sleep.

The little cards you see above were made for a calendar swap I was in with some of my fellow stampgroper friends, we belong to an online group for Western Australian stampers, we also meet once a month at a LSS (local scrapbooking shop). I used the set called Just Beachy which was in our Spring mini. I promise to upload some more work tomorrow. Thanks for visiting with me. Wanna see something really cute...

On the last day of school last year, my hubby rang me up and told me how some work men had been in the roof of the school above the drama room and they found a little kitten. Anyhooo to cut a long story short (being as you've already had a novel to read on here today) he brought said kitten home, she was soo tiny and fitted in the palm of his hand, she could barely keep her little head up and to tell you the truth I didn't think she would make it through the night. I gave her a little dropper with some water in it and we went to the vets to get some kitten milk, I fed her every two hours through the night and by the morning she was able to lap at the milk herself. It didn't take us long to notice that this poor little creature was blind and this was most likely reason the mother cat had left her behind in the roof. Well needless to say after much love and a lot of patience we now have the most loving and thankful kitten in the world, both my hubby and I have been rewarded a thousand times over with her beautiful purrs and loving nudges. We took her to the vets yesterday for her last jabs and the vet was so impressed with how well she has come along. She will never be able to venture outside on her own, but hubby will be building her a nice big run outside in the garden so she can feel the fresh air and sunshine on her fur, she sleeps on our bed and shadows my every move around the house. Her name is Polly, that's a whole other story, which I will tell you on another day. I've been dying to tell you all about her, but wanted to make sure she was going to make it through to a happy ending first.

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great week and for those of you in Australia, I hope all the back to school preparations aren't stressing you out too much. I'm sooo glad that's all over for me, I don't miss it one bit, all I have to contend with now is my hubby saying ..."I don't wanna go back to school tomorrow!!" Yes he's a teacher and it takes him a while to get back into the swing of things after the Summer holidays. I have had my God daughter and her friend here all day, they have been in the pool cooling down. They both came out like prunes with wrinkles on their toes and fingers, but they had great fun and it was good to hear little girls laughing and enjoying themselves splashing around in the cool water. It brought back memories of when our girls were younger and easily pleased by playing in the pool with their aqua ducks etc.
Oh well I digress! What I meant to say on here was a great big THANK YOU! to all the fabulous blog hoppers who have taken the time to visit my blog and leave the most encouraging comments. I had a tour around all the blogs myself and saw some amazing work, all that eye candy in one day is just so hard to take in, another go round will be in order I think. I really enjoyed the first hop we did for the release of the Summer mini and I am sure we will be doing another one for the release of our next mini in April, so stay tuned for some more inspiration.
I'm sorry this has been a bit long winded today, but I just felt like telling all my inky friends how wonderful you are and how much I appreciate your kind comments. I feel so blessed to have made all these connections with people from all over the world and to share in this fantastic hobby of paper crafting. Stampin'Up! has been such a huge blessing in my life and through this great company I now have so many new friends, I'm coming up to my 2nd anniversary as a Stampin'Up! demonstrator and I've loved every minute of it. I signed up during Sale-A-Bration in 2008 and never in a million years did I imagine how much of a positive impact it would make on my life.
