Wanna see something really cute...

On the last day of school last year, my hubby rang me up and told me how some work men had been in the roof of the school above the drama room and they found a little kitten. Anyhooo to cut a long story short (being as you've already had a novel to read on here today) he brought said kitten home, she was soo tiny and fitted in the palm of his hand, she could barely keep her little head up and to tell you the truth I didn't think she would make it through the night. I gave her a little dropper with some water in it and we went to the vets to get some kitten milk, I fed her every two hours through the night and by the morning she was able to lap at the milk herself. It didn't take us long to notice that this poor little creature was blind and this was most likely reason the mother cat had left her behind in the roof. Well needless to say after much love and a lot of patience we now have the most loving and thankful kitten in the world, both my hubby and I have been rewarded a thousand times over with her beautiful purrs and loving nudges. We took her to the vets yesterday for her last jabs and the vet was so impressed with how well she has come along. She will never be able to venture outside on her own, but hubby will be building her a nice big run outside in the garden so she can feel the fresh air and sunshine on her fur, she sleeps on our bed and shadows my every move around the house. Her name is Polly, that's a whole other story, which I will tell you on another day. I've been dying to tell you all about her, but wanted to make sure she was going to make it through to a happy ending first.
Take care, lots of inky hugs from ....

  1. Now, I'm definately not a cat person at all, but I have to say, that is one of the cutest photos EVER!! Congrats on the newest addition to your household!!

Hope to catch up with you again soon!

  2. What a beautiful, beautiful little kitten and how blessed Miss Polly is to have your care. She has landed in exactly the right home.

  3. Like Nikki stated - I'm not a cat person either, but she is rather cute.

Enjoy those many years of love with her!

  4. Awwwwh she is pretty cute Char. Enjoy your cuddles and congrats on helping her out. You are always a giver! xo

  5. Hi Char! Thank goodness for people like you who will give the love and attention to a little animal who really needs it! Little Polly has a beautiful home thats for sure!

  6. Hi charmaine,

Awww - she is just TOO cute! I bought my baby kitten from a dodgy pet shop aged 5 weeks - me being a sucker for the underdog chose the one they warn you not to get - the one getting pushed away by all the others trying to get food. She was only 5 inches long!

I bought her home and a friend who worked in a petshop said she was far too small to be away from Mum & would probably die. I think he was probably trying to soften the blow of what he thought was inevitable - her death. Like you I was determined not to let that happen.

The Vet later diagnosed that she had a "dodgy heart" but despite that she's now the ripe old age of 15! We call her "the best cat in the world" LOL like kids yours is always the best, but Missy is like your Polly & purrs as soon as you feed her, pick her up or pat her. Best companion ever! Only now at 15 I fear her 9 lives will come to an end sooner that later so we treasure each day.

I'm so glad you can experience this with little Polly - she will give you so much back ENJOY!

    Love Corinna
