Happy Birthday!

Hello all, I am sorry for the neglect you may be feeling lately, I have lost my dear old computer to an electrical storm which slammed through here last week. Because of this I don't have the ability to upload any photos etc. I am using my DH's computer to write this message, as I thought it best to let you know I'm still alive and kicking even though I'm unable to upload any of my recent projects for you to see. As soon as I'm able I will load up lots of goodies for you all, I thought it was about time for some more blog candy too, so when things get back to normal I'll announce it. I also wanted to say a big thank you to all the very clever and talented people who sent me beautiful cards for my birthday today. I will most definitely upload pics of them for you all to see when it's possible. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends around me who are so kind and generous, Stampin'Up! has truly changed my life and I am so grateful to this wonderful company for all the cherished friendships it has provided me with since my sign up last year. Take care all and stay inky, lots of inky hugs from .....

One more "Kiss"

Hello everyone in blog -land,
Well we had a bit of rain fall last night! I woke up to a really strange noise that was slightly familiar but I wasn't sure until I peeked out of the window...sure enough it was wet stuff! That wet stuff brought along with it some pretty gusty winds, so we found quite a lot of fallen leaves this morning. I think my animals were a little shocked to feel moisture under their paws this morning and Coubah was NOT impressed. He decided to come straight back inside and go back to bed. Well he is getting old! Anyhoo, I thought I would show you the second card I made with my friends for the "Kiss" technique. It uses the sets called Baroque motifs, Good friend and the background stamp called Tres chic. I have kissed the bird from Good friend with the swirl from Baroque motifs. The inks used were chocolate chip, certainly celery, pretty in pink and pink pirouette. I used the lovely new punch called wide oval to cut out the sentiment, which is raised on dimensionals, I've also used the fab new eyelet border punch. I found inspiration for this card on SCS. I hope you like it, lots of inky hugs from....

A Very Rare Bird!

Good evening fellow blog surfers,
Well this is a very rare bird indeed, it's a lesser spotted friendship bird, found in the forests of "Bon Ami". I made this card with my very good friends when teaching them how to do the "Kiss" technique, these stamped images have been kissed with the now retired wheel called "Lots of Dots" I used the set called "Cheap Talk " from our current catty. I used the new in-colours, Baja breeze, Pacific Point, Pink pirouette, Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red, I also used some Cameo coral.
We made two cards with this technique, so stay tuned and I'll show you the other one tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by, take care, lots of inky hugs from...

Thinking of my daughter.

Last week my eldest daughter had to have an unexpected op and when I went to visit her on Friday I took along some pressies and this little card. It is from the set called "A Flower For All Seasons" and it was a gift which was given to me from Stampin'Up! at this years convention. I was awarded this gorgeous little stamp set and a pin to wear on my apron. This set is one of those which will come out for those unexpected occasions when you need a card fast, but want it to be personal and made with love. My daughter loves lime green and any blues, so I thought this would make her smile and it did. I love this little frog and I'm looking forward to stamping up the others in this set. I used Staz'on black ink on water colour paper, then used my aqua brush with inks to colour him in, before punching him out with the 1 1/4 square punch. I then punched out a 1 3/8 square of Baja Breeze to mount him on. The sentiment is from "Bird on a branch" I hope you like it, take care. Lots of inky hugs from...

Another swap.

Hello,
I hope this finds you enjoying a peaceful Sunday. I thought I would upload another of the swaps which I took thirty of to convention. I used the beautiful new stamp set called "Bird on a branch"The ink colours used are Kiwi kiss, Pink pirouette, Close to cocoa and blush blossom. The card stock used was Cream confetti, very vanilla, close to cocoa, pink pirouette and kiwi kiss. I used a little bit of pretty in pink ribbon to finish it off. This was a very clutter free card and I also used the Stamp-a-majig to align the images. I hope you like it, thanks for visiting. Lots of inky hugs from ...

One of my swaps.

Hello and happy Saturday to you all,
I've had a mixed week, a couple of great days at the craft fair with my friends and a day visiting my eldest daughter who had to have a small op this week. I thought I'd show one of the many swaps I took to the wonderful Stampin'Up! convention in Canberra. I actually made up 101 swaps to take along with me, over seventy of them were 3D ones such as these lip balm holders you see above, I used the lovely Raspberry tart DSP and I put either a cherry or a strawberry lip balm inside. I used the five petal flower punch as well as the Boho blossoms punch. If you received one of these thank you for swapping with me and I hope you liked it. I took thirty of these and fifteen key ring post-it note holders, twenty six match box chocolate holders and thirty cards. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the match boxes and key rings so I will have to make up a couple to show you what they looked like. I am really looking forward to our regional convention later in the year and swapping all over again, I just have to come up with some new ideas by then. Oh well take care all and have a lovely weekend, lots of inky hugs from...

Happy Mother's day!

Happy Mother's day to all you mum's out there.
I thought today was a good day for a couple of family photos, the top one is of my brother with his partner Lynn, my dad, then me and my dear mum. This was taken the day before I returned home from my visit in England, we all had a fabulous lunch in my parents local village pub "The Lemon Arms". The second picture above is of my mum outside her little local grocery shop, she walks up there at least twice a day and gets all her necessities, occasionally she will do a big shop up at ASDA when someone can drive her there, or if my brother is home he takes her. My mum is an amazing woman who is always a tower of strength, her health has generally been fantastic and you would never believe her age if you met her. I wish I could be there to give you a big mother's day cuddle mum. I'll be thinking of you today and memories of us walking along the beaches picking up shells for our collection.
Give your mum a cuddle if you can and let her memory warm your heart if you can't!
Lots of mother's day hugs from......
