Chalk Board effect..

Hello blog surfers,
I've just come back from doing my morning training and walk/jog, I'm really pleased with my progress and hope I will continue to find it easier the more I do. Above you can see an A4 sheet of basic black CS which I have covered in images using the Chalk Board effect. I used the stamp set called Heartfelt Thanks, it's one that is in the SU starter kit and I had decided to change it for another set, at a later date I had borrowed this set from my ever talented upline Makeesha and of course I fell in Love with it, so I ended up getting it in with my awarded sets which I earned for reaching one of my Stampin Start goals. I have been with Stampin'Up! for a year now and in that time I have been given so many free sets and various other gifts, I can definitely recommend joining if you have a stamping habit! I digress, sorry! I was meant to be telling you about the Chalk Board effect, well you ink up your image with some Whisper White Craft ink (pigment, embossing) then stamp it onto some dark coloured Card stock, I've used basic black in this instance. Then using coloured chalks from your Stampin' Pastels box (or similar) you twist your applicator into your chosen colours and dab them onto your white image, you don't ave to worry about the ink drying first. When you have covered all of your images in coloured chalks you can gently swipe any excess chalk from your images with a dry tissue, there is no need to seal this technique as the ink seems to hold the chalks in place. I have made some cards up for my stamp club to do today, so I will show those latter on or tomorrow. Take care and thanks for visiting, lots of inky hugs from....
