What's inside???

Well here I am awake before the rest of the house, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to show you some more of what's inside the stationary box. You'd be amazed at what you can fit in this little magic unfolding box, today I've posted another of the C6 size cards and some of the little tags, theses all have their own little pockets to fit in. I used some of the new chocolate chip Patterns paper on the card above and still using the Friends 24/7 set I water coloured the flower with the ink in the the stamp pad palettes, I used Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette, with just a touch of Riding Hood red to put a stain in the center of the flowers. Don't you just love the names that SU come up with for their colours! For the pretty little tags, I've used some more paper from the "Candy Lane" collection and stamped the bird with Pink Pirouette, so as to be light enough to write your message over the top. The card stock used is Riding hood red and the ribbon "yep, you guessed it!!!" Riding Hood Red taffeta, which has that lovely vanilla edge to it. A little birdie told me...

Hi All, I hope this finds you enjoying your weekend. DH and I went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince this afternoon, he was a little disappointed at all the differences between the film and the book, I haven't read any of the books, so I was was just sitting back and being entertained with a story, which was fine by me.

I had loads of fun creating all the cards inside my stationary box and this is one of the four big ones that are in there. As with all the contents of this little compendium it has been made with the set called "Friends 24/7" I used the damask image all over the background of the card and some yummy paper from the "Candy lane" pack down the left hand inside edge, which sits just aside from the pretty eyelet border punched edge. Stationary box.

G'day everyone,

It's really cold here this morning and I think we're about to receive some rain. It's a good day to stay inside and get inky! I thought I would post some pictures of my stationary box and all it's cards and tags inside. I found the original pattern for this box on SCS by a very talented lady called Jackie Topa, however the original was made for American measurements, so I had to re-jig them all to suit our Aussie cards and envelopes. After a few nips and tucks this was what I came up with. I used some of the yummy papers from the pack called Candy Lane, it went well with the new in-colours of Riding hood red and Pirouette pink, I used the stamp set called Friends 24/7. I have really fallen in love with this set, it could be because there is a bird in it! I will upload some more close ups of the cards and contents soon. I hope you like it.

Faux Silk.

Hello all,
I hope this finds you well and with ink on your hands. I had fun showing some of my stamping friends how to do the Faux silk technique a couple of weeks ago, this is one of the cards we made using this technique. It's hard to see the real effect in this photo but it's really textured. I used the level one hostess gift set called "Organic Grace" It's one that didn't really fire my rocket, until I started playing with it. I love this fern stamp and I think it will get some more inking in the future. Oh well, I better be off to bed, as I have some lovely ladies coming over to stamp and chat tomorrow morning. Better late than never!

Ok, I didn't keep my promise of putting this up a couple of days ago, well I had a little problem...NO computer again! It seems to be ok now and DH assures me everything is fine Mmmm. Any hoo, this is the third item that was made in the 'For Boys' class, I know it's a little frilly but it is blue! As I was late in putting this one up, I will add another photo today, so stay tuned. On another note, we have great news about the up-coming Stamp-A-Thon, it's full, I think we were a bit surprised that it filled up so soon, but we are all pleased that we should be able to donate a nice sum to the National Breast Cancer Research Fund. Now we just have to do all the cutting of your kits, I'm really excited about the projects we've chosen for you all to make and NO I'm not giving any clues. You'll have to wait and be surprised on the day.

More boys toys...

As promised, here is number two project from the "For boys" class I did, this image is from the "Loads of love" set and instead of colouring in the truck, I used a technique called Paper piecing, it's quite simply where you stamp you image onto some designer paper and cut it out. I used some SU jumbo antique brass eyelets to take the place of the wheels, I used some Kiwi Kiss card stock to mount it all on and some Baja breeze designer paper. A tug boat...

Hello out there in blog land, I'm sure half of you may of thought that I had abandoned this here blog. I can assure you that won't happen, but things have been a little hectic again and there has been some sickness too. Enough of that, I have so many bits and pieces to show you and I thought that I would start with the items made in my "for boys" class. Everyone made this cute little tug boat from the set called Boat Loads of love, when you pull on the little tag, out comes a little row boat with the happy birthday message. It has been coloured in using an aqua brush and the in-colour ink pads, I also used the set called seeing spots for the backgound.
