Just Beachy!

Hello out there in blogland,
I have just had the most wonderful weekend, I went on a stamp camp organised by the wonderful Ngaire Anderson for all her downline and sidelines. After popping over to Makeesha's place to pick her up we drove out towards the Swan Valley where we stayed at a beautiful residence that was originally an orphanage, it is now a boarding house for children who live in the country and school here in Perth. We had all our meals prepared for us as well as linen provided, so we just had to bring all our stamping goodies and our favourite pillow! We all arrived on Friday early evening and shared a lovely meal together, then we all proceeded to the Library where we set to work making thirty swaps. We had all brought our swaps in a shoe box type container, we prepared all the fiddly bits and left the stamping and construction to be done by each demonstrator. After a very short sleep we arose to a scrumptious cooked breakfast which gave us the energy we needed for the big day of stamping ahead. We made a fabulous mini scrapbook with fantastic instruction from the ever so talented Louise Ryan, we then stopped for lunch before returning to finish up our scrapbook and start on a scrap page and card using a technique I had brought along to share with everyone, then we all made a really clever little compendium which opened up to display four little boxes to put trinkets or chocolates in, this was taught by the very friendly and patient Jan. We all finished up with another shared meal in the dining hall and some quick photos to preserve the memories. I had really great room mates, Makeesha, Lou and Monique, we decide we just couldn't quite go home yet. so we drove into Midland for a cuppa at a McCafe, where we shared lots of wonderful memories of all the good times we've had since being Stampin'Up! demos.
The picture above is of a spring card with the car from the "Just Beachy" set, I hope you like it, I'll put up a couple of photos of all us demos at our camp soon, so come back and visit soon. Lots of inky hugs from...

  1. Hi Charmaine

That is such a lovely card. You've done a great job with that stamp set and I really love how you've done the sand for the beach. It is sooo cool!!!

It sounds like you had a fantastic time away with your stamp buddies. I went on a stamp camp about two months ago and it really is the best time, isn't it? I look forward to seeing your projects, though I may have had a sneak peek on Keesh's blog.

I hope you have a lovely week, enjoy regionals on Saturday.

    Love
