Lucky last of the Christmas cards.

Well here are the last three from this years Christmas cards, I sent out a few that I didn't take photos of so you'll have to miss out on those. The top two were made using the set called "Season of Joy" from the Spring mini, I really hope that set finds it's way into the new catalogue for 2009. The last one is one I think I may of posted on the old blog, so if you're seeing it for the second time I apologise. I used the set called "Solemn Stillness" from the main catty, I love the words with this set, they were embossed with gold E.P. I used the wheel called "Star studded" down the edges in old olive ink on old olive card stock. Oh well, another year over. I will be posting some cards from the new Summer mini very soon. Take care all and enjoy a very Happy and Safe New-Years celebration.

A Christmas Stack.

Everyone who came to do a Christmas stack in Nov. and Dec. made ten cards, these five and five of the Christmas trees in different colours that were posted earlier. I think everyone was happy with their sets and had a nice bunch of cards to send out. I used the set called"Season of Joy" from the Spring mini for these cards, along with some of the very festive "Dashing" papers from the main catty. Two different wheels were used, the spots were from the new wheel called "Lots of Spots" which can be found in the new Summer mini on page 7. The other wheel used was the "So Swirly" wheel from the main catty. Tired yet?

Can you smell those pine trees yet?

Here's a couple of cards that I made using the "Peace Wishes set" from the main catty, I really like the simplicity of these two and they really say Christmas! You may need a coffee break soon...

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree...

Hi again, I thought you may like to see a variation of the blue card that I showed you earlier and is on my header. This card is on a few blogs this year, so we all must be looking at the same blogs. This one is c.a.s.ed, but I'm sorry I don't actually know who the original was made by. So who ever you are, thank you for the inspiration. I changed things a little and added copious amounts of Kindy glitz to the branches for a bit of bling, it doesn't show up well in the photos. The tree is from the all time favourite set called" Lovely as a tree" I hope you like them, I did lots of these in different colours this year. Don't go....There's more!

A lot of Christmas cards....

I hope you're in the mood to see lots of Christmas cards, because I'm just going to put them all up here before New-Years day (I hope). These were made using the lovely paper from the spring mini called "Harmony" I will truly miss that paper but I know something just as nice or better will be on its way for next year. I also used the wheel called "Star studded" along the bottom of the C.D holder as well as the new set from the Summer mini for the gorgeous scalloped square called "Say it with Scallops"and of course I cut it out using the matching Square scallop punch from the Summer mini. They are both found on pages 16-17 of the and if you don't have one yet, please contact me for a copy. The stamped images on the top card were done using the lovely "Peaceful Wishes" set from the main catty and to finish both of with a bit of real decadence I used the scrumptious "Purely Pomegranate" Satin ribbon, also from the Spring mini :-( and a little rhinestone brad from the main catty.Oh well get your looking eyes ready for the rest.....

Happy Christmas Mum and Dad.

Hello everyone, I hope this finds you all in good spirits and still enjoying a wonderful Christmas break with your loved ones. This is a picture of my dear mum and dad in England, Mum doesn't look bad for an eighty year old, she is very active and walks miles every day, she looks after dad and cooks fabulous meals for him and also for my brother when he's home from sea. We heard from Lori and her boyfriend Alex on Christmas day, they were in a hostel in Berlin and were going to share their Christmas dinner with eight other Ozzies and one Kiwi. They are off to Eddinborough to celebrate new years and then returning back to explore a bit more of Germany and Eastern Europe. Thank you so much for the lovely comments girls, I love to see them so please keep them coming, I will upload some more work tomorrow for you to have a look at (or should I say today) being as it's now 3.20 am!!!! Butterfly Birthday

Hi again, I just thought you may like to see a birthday card which I made for a very dear friend in November, my friend is very partial to butterflies so hence the use of the pretty butterfly from the set called " A Touch of Nature" which was a birthday gift to me from someone very special. I saw a card similar to this posted on SCS a while ago but I think it had a concertina card. I used some of our beautiful double sided designer paper from " Le Jardin" along with a hat pin and beads from the "Pretties Kit", the velvet ribbon wasn't from SU and the "Happy Birthday was a Stamp-it stamp but the sentiment on the inside is from "A touch of Nature". I stamped all the butterflies in Choc chip before going over them with Versa mark (using the Stamp-a-Majig) and embossing them with clear embossing powder which had a little glitter mixed in it. I cut around all the top butterflies which I love. the whole card is mounted onto some "Bashful blue" card stock. Hope you like it as much as the recipient did. Lots of inky hugs from....

And the winner is....

Hi everyone, Well I must say I was a bit disappointed with the number of comments left on here, but it's nice to see you are still visiting to see what I've been up to. I put numbers on little pieces of paper and rolled them up, I allocated each name to a number and got my hubby to pull a number out of a bowl and the number he pulled out was number two which I gave to Margaret Knoops of Purple Buttons Blogspot. Congratulations Margaret and thank you for your comment. I will take a photo of what Margaret won and post it here soon. I will be offering up some more blog candy in the new year so please stay tuned for more. Lots of inky hugs from ....

Christmas card

Hello everyone, Here is on of the cards that were made in my Christmas stamp-a-stack classes, everyone made five of theses in five different colours and then five other cards which I will post another time. The stamp set used is called "Lovely as a tree" and it's one of those timeless sets that is so versatile. I think this one which is Bayou Blue was my favourite colour for this card, again I think it's because the blue makes me feel cool, I have trouble feeling Christmassy when it's so warm. I hope you are all starting to feel in the spirit of things now and your shopping is almost completed! (mine isn't). I thank you for the very few coments that have been left, but hope to see a few more before I pull out that blog candy! It will include a pack of Stampin'Up! double sided designer papers as well as some ribbon and a few other little goodies, so come on don't be shy and leave a comment! I will announce the lucky winner on here as soon as I see that 100 come up on the counter, so don't miss out. Take care and happy stamping, lots of inky hugs from...

Truro Cathedral

Hi All, I expect a lot of you are out doing last minute Christmas shopping, which is where I should be! This is a picture of Truro Cathedral which is about a forty minute drive from my parents house in Mylor Bridge. I love this Cathedral and when ever I home I always visit here, my dad loves to go and light candles for his friends who have passed on as well as lighting candles for my sister who died of breast cancer. Often when we are there we are lucky enough to hear the choir practising or the organist which really adds to the wonderful feeling this place gives you. I will add some art work here later so stay tuned! lots of inky hugs from ...

My Dear Dad.

Hi everyone, well here is a picture of my dear dad with his beloved companioin Penny. They are rarely apart unless Penny has food in her reach! Dad has always got a joke to tell and enjoys a good laugh. I'm so glad I returned to visit with my family when I did and I will cherish those memories for ever. My dad was taken into hospital last week, but thankfully is now home again, he has to take a lot of pain killers, but keeps smiling. Penny is always by his side or in his lap keeping him warm. My mother cooks plenty of good healthy meals for dad, so he is well looked after. It's the only time I regret living so far away, when one of my family is ill. I wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas, full of wonderful memories which you can cherish throughout the year ahead. May you and your loved ones be blessed with good health and happiness in 2009. Take care all, lots of inky hugs from...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Hello to everyone in Blogland, I just want to say a huge thank you to you all for being so patient with me, I hope everyone finds their way here with out too many hic-ups! I very nearly gave this whole thing up, due to all the technical problems I've had. Thannkfully my DH helped out and got everything back on track for me. I hope you like the new background, it will now be changing on a regular basis I hope! But I'll keep this one for the Christmas season. I know we don't get snow here in Australia at Christmas but it makes me feel cool to just look at these gorgeous colours, so I hope it has the same effect on those of you that are a bit hot. This card is one that I made to send out to a few of my friends, I didn't make that many cards this year due to all the goings on in this family of late. Daughter number one is now in Paris and is going to make her way to Germany for Christmas, number two daughter is here with us and will be at our table for Christmas dinner along with my mother-in-law and anyone else who pops in on the day. I have some photos of my family in England , so I will put them up here tonight for you to see, I will try and put a new card or other artwork up every day, until I catch up with everything I've been up too. Once again Thank you all for sticking with me and comming to visit my new blog. I will be giving out some blog candy as soon as the counter hits 100, just leave a comment and I'll let you know who the lucky winner is, so you can send me your details for mailing. Take care everyone and lots of inky hugs from
